‘Hi Profile’ is Antoniou Tassos, hailing from Greece. He believes in the harmonious blend of music with feelings and strives to reflect the philosophy in his work exquisitely.

‘Four Aces’ carries one forward with each passing minute. A seasoned campaigner in the game of Poker maintains calm on the outside but there’s a whirlwind in his head. This feeling has been embodied brilliantly in the title track. It takes off smoothly, acquiring a palpitating velocity towards its end; the tense yet playful atmosphere of a Poker table has been captured fantastically. The following tracks, ‘A World in His Mind’ and ‘Synthetic’ complete the EP fittingly. Hi Profile explores the abstract beauty of one’s own mind with ‘A World in His Mind’ with élan. ‘Synthetic’ takes on a more definitive approach, the beats pumping up as the EP heads towards its culmination. ‘Four Aces’ is not only dance-worthy, but also introspective; an added quality that provides immense gravity to this talented Greek producer/artist.

Space is the Place – Nature Disaster

Beyond Logic Records embarks on this alternate format of music release with the Debut release EP: Space is the Place by Nature Disaster. This Psytrance duo from Israel featuring Oren Shavit (25) from Tel-Aviv and Shay Menahem (24) from Kfar-Saba are a power house in themselves.

Oren played guitar since childhood and grew up listening to psychedelic trance music and started Dj’ing since 2005 under the name Brain Sabotage. Shay played performed as Dj Xiaoyu in major psychedelic parties around the globe since last few years. Both started working as Nature Disaster since 2008 and their tracks have been featured in various compilations since then.

The title track ‘Space is the Place’ starts off with an explosion, taking you into an interesting travel through the cosmic space convincing you that Space is THE Place to be if you want to destroy the imaginary myths and realize your dreams while in existence. Watch out for the spatial narratives in this composition. It will send the dance floor into vibrations for sure.

Brainiac is an interesting parable about certain species of mankind who are typically unique in their characteristics. This track has some portions which personify the destructive tendencies of Brainiacs who if rubbed the wrong way by some of the influencing forces could create a disaster to mankind.

Electric Machine a collaboration with Twina is an absolute dance floor smasher inviting you to party Beyond Logic style. The Track starts off with deafening silence, jumps into the ring of groove, takes you through a magical journey of surprises with some breaks in between to let your feet breathe and leaves you asking for more…

A little mystery, wildness and intangible insanity; Contrary to their name Nature Disaster, this EP for sure qualifies to be a smashing success. All 3 compositions featured in this EP assure you of a colorful journey into the place where every human yearns to travel.

ACE VENTURA – Israel (Iboga Records – Denmark)

ACE VENTURA is Yoni Oshrat, a 30-year old Israeli with a rich musical background. Born in a musical family (his father is a famous Israeli composer and song writer, for instance behind the Eurovision song “Halelujah”) and previously working in the TV and movie-industry as a sound producer before he discovered electronic music. After that things moved quick for Yoni – after DJ’ing for years, he teamed up with his friend Dj Goblin to form the Children of the doc project which later changed name to PSYSEX – together they released 3 critically-acclaimed full length albums on HOMmega, and played a big part in establishing Israel as one of the most important trance-countries in the world. After several years of intense touring, playing at some of the biggest parties and festivals worldwide, Yoni’s taste moved more and more towards the slower, groovier side of music though, and from 2006 he was no longer a part of the Psysex project. Instead he has started 2 new projects: SCHATSI, which is an electro-project, already getting featured on releases from Hadshot and Mylo’s Breastfed Recordings, while being spinned by the likes of Jhon Digweed,and of course, ACE VENTURA. Yoni is fond of all major sides of the progressive scene, and it shines through in his Ace ventura project, which best can be described as deep, tribal and pumping progressive psytrance – pure dynamite on the dance floor.

Despite being a relatively new project, ACE VENTURA has already toured extensivley around the globe, and appeared on releases from Flow, Domo, Echoes, Blue tunes, Spintwist, HOMmega and of course Iboga, while being remixed by Zen mechanics, Perfect Stranger, Aerospace, Peter Gun, Gaudium and more. He also compiled the 1st progressive compilation on famed fullon-trance label HOMmega – NEW ORDER, featuring tracks from the best artists the progressive scene has to offer. In 2008 he also compiled a follow up for that successful release.On september 28th, 2007, the debut Ace ventura album, REBIRTH, was finally released on Iboga records. It featured 9 tracks and included collaborations with Liquid soul,Intelabeam and Lish. The rebirth tour brought him through Brazil, and continued through Israel,Switzerland,Italy,Hungary,Greece,Denmark,Portugal,Belgium and the list could go on and on.Now the world eagerly awaits his next album as Ace Ventura, coming out in 2011, On Iboga Records.
